Listen to the strange sounds of: Saturn’s ring, Miranda, Neptune, the earth voice, saturn, Jupiter, Io, and Uranus!
Although space is a virtual vacuum, this does not mean there is no sound in space. Sounds does exist as electromagnetic vibrations. Mounted on different Nasa space probes (Voyager 1, Injun 1, Isee 1, and Hawkeye) plasma wave antennas have been used to record the vibrations all within the human hearing (20-20’000 Hz).
The recorded space sounds are complex interactions of charged electromagnetic particles from the solar wind, ionosphere and planet magnetospheres.
