What is this mysterious symbol found on the bottom of the receding Blue Lake in Croatia on October 20, 2020?
Modro Jezero is one of the most beautiful karst lakes in Croatia.
The Blue lake lies in a deep sinkhole that was formed after the collapse of a cave near the town of Imotski.
The depth of the lake varies depending on the season and the amount of rainfall. In 1914, it reached 114 m, overflowing the southern rim.
During summer, it normally dries up completely, and the most bizarre football game in Europe can take place… on the muddy bottom. The last match took place in 2011 and ended up tied 2:2 between The Elves (Vilenjaci) and The Werewolves (Vukodlaci).
Strange alien sign in 2020
As it dried up in 2020, a strange symbol appeared on the dry lake bed and Modro Jezero started ressembling an alien landing place.
But as the Blue Lake slowly filled up beginning of fall, the “alien sign” slowly faded away underwater, into the unknown world.
