Major Stromboli volcano eruption in Italy – August 1, 2021
The Stromboli volcano, Italy erupted powerfully around 20:09 UTC on August 1, 2021.

The explosion ejected volcanic material over 150 m (490 feet) in the air.
The volcanic event was clearly detected by all seismic stations at Stromboli.

The strong eruption stopped around 21:30 UTC.
Stromboli is situated in the NE-most of the Aeolian Islands and is characterized by frequent mild explosions.

New paroxysm at Etna volcano, Italy – July 31, 2021
The paroxysmal eruptive episode continues at Etna volcano.
The latest paroxysmal eruption started around 21:22 UTC on July 31, ending up in amazing lava fountains around 23:30 UTC and creating lava flows.

Officials raised the Aviation Color Code was raised to Red at 18:23 UTC before setting it back to Orange at 05:47 UTC on August 1, 2021.
