Severe storms that hit parts of Germany closed many railway lines and stranded tens of thousands of travelers for hours. Operations at the Frankfurt Airport also had to be interrupted on Tuesday night because of the storm. Hail, heavy rain and lightning resulted in enormous damage especially in Bavaria. – Neues Deutschland
