Their quiet drive ended abruptly with a sonic boom after their car was struck by lightning.

According to the drivers, the lightning strike sounded like a sonic boom! Can you imagine? And the entire scene, showing the lightning hitting the truck, was caught on camera.

According to Edmonton CTV News, airbags deployed nside the truck, the metal body was rippled by the heat, and then smoke began to fill the cabin. Parts of the truck were completely melted and the electrical system inside the truck destroyed making it impossible to escape!
