Ball lightning hospitalises woman and kills hundreds of pigs at Chinese farm.
A freak ball of lightning has exploded at a farm in China killing 170 pigs and injuring a woman.
It was like a big ball of fire, but it suddenly split into two forks that hot the rails scorching the animals.
Ball lightning are electrical phenomena occurring during thunderstorms (but have been also recently created in a lab). They usually form spherical objects slowly floating to the ground before exploding.
In the present case, the ball of lightning struck metal railings, sending a massive charge through the entire building containing 400 pigs. The surviving 110 pigs needed medical treatment for burns. And some animals were so badly hurt that they had exploded.
Nightmarish! I just try to imagine how this woman survive this freak ball lightning that killed hundreds of pigs in China!
