There is no alien invasion going on. The strange phenomenon sighted in Perth skies this morning was in fact a rare Fallstreak Cloud also known as hole punch cloud, punch hole cloud or skypunch. As it doesn’t occur often, it’s no surprise that it’s causing quite a stir!
