Exceptional, Massive, Incredible, Amazing WEATHER ANOMALY! Just look at the video and pictures below!
A severe hail storm hit Apulia, south-eastern Italy on October 7, 2014. It is the result of the cyclone that hit hard the southern Italy in recent days. Although it has now moved offshore to the Ionian Sea the weather conditions continue to be unstable.
On October 7, 2014, storms have hit the central Apulia, and are now moving to Salento. Rutigliano, Fasano, Ostuni and Santeramo have been the most affected counties affected by the localized but powerful hail storms.
Destroyed grapes and extreme floodings (up to one meter water) are widespread in one of the poorest region of Italy.
Nobody was injured nor killed. No serious damage were reported despite the size of the grains of ice falling from the sky that have blancketed the streets.
Summer weather is predicted for the week-end. All the best!
