An inexplicable white-and-blue flash was spotted lighting up the sky over the southern Russian city of Stavropol.
A dashcam video has since triggered a heated debate over the origins of the mysterious sight. What do you think this is?
The sudden light scared several residents of Stavropol as their sky was illuminated by a soundless flash of light at around 00:39 local time (21.39 GMT on Monday).
The mysterious event made some streetlights in the city go out and lights inside apartments and houses flickering.
Where these military exercises? Faults in the electricity net? Northern Lights? Fireball? Or even UFOs?
Meteorologists says this phenomenon is not natural! Moreover, as seen in the video, the source of the light is most probably located somewhere on the ground.
Power engineers have however already rejected a version suggesting a fault in the power supply line leaving the public clueless about the nature of the mysterious flash.
It is actualy not the first time a unexplained flash of light illuminates a Russian city!
