DID YOU SEE IT?
Many people in Oregon were left stunned Thursday night as they spotted what looked like a large meteor breaking apart in the sky.
What a sight, indeed! But what was it, please?

Here’s an even closer look:
I captured video of the satellite that burned up in the sky last night, giving a mesmerizing yet kinda scary show over the PNW. #SpaceX #Falcon9 #Starlink #satelite #satellites #NASA #meteor #Meteorshower #PNWSpaceJunk #pnw pic.twitter.com/QBmdzLpSt0

It certainly put on a show. And many reported the sighting on the AMS website…
It even showed up on weather satellite imagery. It’s the small blue colored streak in the upper left corner of the image.
While it hasn’t been confirmed what the object was, the American Meteor Society reports what was seen was debris from the Falcon 9 rocket used ion the Starlink 4 launch back in February of 2020.
