Have you ever seen two suns setting in the night sky?
Well, this surreal phenomenon was witnessed at sunset in the sky of Tarakan, Indonesia on December 4, 2015.
A double sun was photographed in the sky of Indonesia last Friday between 17:49:28 and 17:50:46.
This strange, otherworldly sight could just be a hoax, but similar optical illusions have been seen before. Lately in Canada on November 2, 2015.
This is not a common optical phenomenon that we’re seeing here. The appearance of a second sun is caused by optical refraction, as atmospheric particles bend light in unusual ways, creating mirages.

I’m asking myself if this is an artifact of the lens. Or a fake? But I don’t think so.
I assume this incredible atmospheric phenomenon is created by particles of ice or something in the atmosphere aligned in such a way that they would refract the sunlight at that very small angle, but only in one direction, like a mirror. It would require some fairly peculiar characteristics.
Could this be a giant sundog appearing just on one side of the ‘real’ sun? A king of collection of the glow creating this haunting orb that makes us think there is an additional sun.
I also saw two suns same date in North of California, when I walked me and my boyfriend to see the sunset. We were amazed! But unfortunately we didn’t bring our phones with us, just so we didn’t have any distractions. I always wondered what that was

who ever wrote this ….this is called disinformation….a sun dog / ice particles….lol…..lets say for instance im an astrophysicist. And lets say im not paid by the government to disinform people but, more so to open their eyes…that is no optical illusion just like the first supermoon a few years back was a rare occurence that only happens every 18.8663 yrs…..then another one came not long after and another…the first headlines read rare supermoon to occur. it did….by the second one the headlines read its normal for supermoons to happen like this…ok….Thats how misinforming the public works most bought it….most….most dont pay attention …becuase someone who has a piece of paper says so….with no shame might i add….unethical at least….a lot will buy this article as well….but for those who seek the truth….this isnt it….look for normal people who post it…. you can tell a reflection from an actual light source…..sun dog formed a perfect round shape….thats i giant ball of ice wouldnt you say…
