Freak hailstorms succeed record flooding from Texas to the Gulf Coast.
The loud booms of yesterday night in the Fort Worth, Texas, area were linked to these severe thunderstorms packing egg-large hail as they moved through early Thursday morning.
A first storm at 4am produced golf ball and ping pong ball size hail have across the area.
A second storm at 7 am produced even hail the size of tennis balls.
Hail smashed cars, ambulances and their windshields in the Fort Worth area.
The Fort Worth police department suffered roof damage during the storms, resulting in water damage in their office. 🙂
Today, there is still a severe weather alert for large hail and damaging wind gusts in the South (Texas, Louisiana, southern Mississippi and southern Alabama.
