While the world was shocked by and concentrated on the devastating tornadoes in Shownee and Moore in Oklahoma, a smaller twister hit Yefremov, a town of 40,000 people in the Tula region of central Russia on May 22 2013. The natural phenomenon, which injured around 20 people and caused damage to various buildings, was caught on camera by many. Here is the best rated youtube video so far:
The tornado destructed parts of the city, toppled trees and ripped roofs off houses. To help the people of Tula region affected by the disaster, the department of Defence sent troops.
