A big rig caught on fire and apparently exploded on the Ed Koch Queensboro Bridge on Friday morning, according to preliminary reports. The Fire Department of New York confirmed the blaze and wrote on Twitter: “MAN ALL HANDS ED KOCH QUEENSBORO BRIDGE, FIRE ON BRIDGE LOWER LEVEL.”
