This is not the first time that weird clouds are being spotted in the sky. For example, a mysterious alien like cloud was observed by astronauts on board of the ISS and a weird white halo was detected travelling over the entire southern sky. In both cases, these weird sightings were related to rocket (missile) launches.
So what about this odd butterfly-like cloud?
Sorry for conspiration theorists, but, here again, we are dealing with a satellite or rocket booster fuel vent. According to Space Flight, a new GPS Navstar satellite, USA 248/Navstar 2F-05 was launched using a Delta IV medium rocket from Cape Canaveral at around 01:59 UT on Feb 21 2014. The final rocket stage occurred at around around 5:32 UT (Feb 21) above Hainan, China. In other words just 43 minutes before the observations from Alaska by Dennis Mammana.
Hehe, these guys from Sat Track Cam are just amazing!
[…] Further study of the photos and the Northern Lights are definitely in order. Here, I have a picture of another strange sky phenomenon. It was a rocket over Alaska, and I would tell it is the same thing. What do you […]
