At least four people were killed and dozens wounded by an unprecedent dust storm in the Iranian capital on Monday, June 2, 2014.
The storm has started at 5:10 pm (local) with winds reaching 110 km/h (68 mph) which uprooted trees and destroyed houses. The huge cloud of sand plunged the city into darkness and the temperature dropped from 33 to 18 ° C. Four people were killed by falling trees. About 50,000 homes are without power.
The violence of the wind has pushed people to seek refuge inside buildings. Flights from Tehran were delayed. Phone and internet were also heavily affected by the storm. According to medias, the bad weather will last until Wednesday.
