A giant crack is currently growing in the southern foothills of the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming.
The huge scar in the ground is about 750 yards long by 50 yards wide. Watch the amazing pictures of the collapsing and shifting soil and rock in the area by Randy Becker.
As reported on the SNS Outfitters Facebook page, this giant crack in the earth appeared in the last two weeks on a ranch in the Bighorn Mountains.
This Earth’s collapse has been dubbed “The Gash”. It’s a really incredible sight.
So what’s behind this giant crack in the ground?
Apparently, a wet spring lubricated across a cap rock.
Then, a small spring on either side caused the bottom to slide out.
There is approximately 15 to 20 million yards of movement and the collapse is 750 yards long and about 50 yards wide.
Amazing what a small spring can do.
Do you remember this giant crack in Mexico. And don’t forget the cracks growing in Arizona.
