After Bolivia, now Paraguay!
The plague of locusts has now entered Paraguay. Two main foci have been detected, which will be fumigated starting this Monday. Environmental impact inevitable.
The invasion of enormous locusts is spreading to Paraguay! They have entered the county in Teniente Pico, Alto Chaco and have already devastated over 50 km of crops’ land.
After different chemical analyses, officials have chosen several products that will be used to fight the insect plague and wrote on a government website:
“We want the producers to understand that some poisons are very powerful and also the bees could be at great risk.”
“It is certain that the fumigation will have bad consequences, but we are trying to make the process as harmful as possible”
Another biblical insect plague that could lead to another dramatic environmental and economic collapse.
