State Route 347 was closed south of Riggs, due to low visibility from blowing dust. For a time, Interstate 10 was shut down, in both directions, at Milepost 219 near Picacho. It has since been reopened.

This latest monsoon storm comes, seven years to the day of a haboob that hit the Valley, which garnered national and global attention.
