Have you ever witnessed something like this? It looks like someone walking on a waterbed but is actually a woman surfing on floating and bouncing sod after heavy downpours in Alabama! Amazing!
This really weird phenomenon occured in Mt. Hope situated between Moulton and Russellville in Lawrence County, Alabama.
About three inches of rain fell on July 18, 2014 over Mt. Hope in Alabama causing the sod to float, bounce and twist under the weight of Sharon Jeffreys, an inhabitant of this small community.
This floating ground is one of the most unique weather phenomenon I have ever seen! And it looks pretty fun to surf on this bumping soil! Hopefully, it will not transform into a large sinkhole!
