Mysterious Karman vortices near South Korea and Japan

0

What is this weird vortex street of clouds captured near South Korea and Japan on February 26, 2016?

These are Karman vortices… Which are supposedly created by winds blowing past isolated islands or mountains that project into the atmosphere causing a huge vortex street disturbance downwind of them.

These Von Karman vortex streets were recorded over Jeju Island, South China Sea on February 26, 2016.

Here some satellite photographs of the sky phenomenon:

I’ve never seen something like that on a movie… Only in pictures… This natural phenomenon looks like it was from out of this world.
