What are these strange clouds in the sky?

I found these pictures of clouds surfing the internet. No explanations, no authors. Just October 30 2015 in Kentucky.

Can somebody explain how they form? And what they are? Thank you.

  1. Those are Kelvin Helmholtz clouds seen from underneath. You can’t see the big ‘wave” shape, just the rolls of cloud.
