Did you also hear the loud mystery boom around Charleston County in South Carolina?
The explosion-like noise was heard at around 11:45am Friday, June 5, 2015 from Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, James Island, Moncks Corner, Cainhoy and beyond.

It happened around 11:45am Friday and could be heard anywhere from Mt. Pleasant, West Ashley, James Island, Moncks Corner, Cainhoy and beyond.
Many are wondering if the sound was from a sonic boom, explosion or something else. Sgt. William O’Brien with Joint Base Charleston tells us jets from another base were flying in the area for training. He says he couldn’t be sure if the loud noise was from the jets or not but he does tell us the training is complete.
