As you will see in the following movie, a 1,300-metric-ton Iranian oil platform of the state-owned Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) sunk to the bottom of the Persian Gulf last monday night as they were trying to install it. Because of intemperies, no recovery operation has begun yet. Iran is now asking for foreign help to recover this very expensive ($40 million) natural gas platform. No injuries were reported. The cause of the sinking remains a mystery!
